Information we collect
- Identity & KYC information — name, date of birth, photograph, signature, PAN, proof of identity and address, and other documents required under SEBI and Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) KYC norms.
- Contact information — mobile number, email address and postal address.
- Financial information — bank account details, income range and, where required for derivative segments, income proof.
- Transactional information — orders, trades, holdings, ledger and settlement records generated when you use our services.
- Technical information — IP address, device and browser details, and usage data collected through cookies and similar technologies when you use our website or apps.
- Communications — records of your calls, emails, WhatsApp messages and service requests with us, maintained as required by regulation.
Why we collect it
- To open, verify and service your trading, demat and mutual fund accounts.
- To execute, clear and settle your transactions and send contract notes, statements and alerts.
- To comply with applicable law and the requirements of SEBI, the exchanges (NSE, BSE, MCX), the depository (NSDL), KYC Registration Agencies (KRAs), CKYC and tax authorities.

- To improve our website, apps and services, and — only with your consent — to send you market updates and information about our products.
Cookies and analytics
Our website uses essential cookies needed for the site to function, and analytics (Google Analytics) to understand aggregate usage so we can improve the experience. Analytics data does not include your PAN, account or KYC details. You can control cookies through your browser settings; blocking essential cookies may affect parts of the site.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed to deliver services and comply with law — with stock exchanges, the depository, clearing corporations, KRAs/CKYC, regulators and statutory authorities; with AMCs and RTAs when you invest in mutual funds through us; and with service providers (such as technology, KYC verification and communication providers) who are bound to use it only for the services they perform for us.
Data retention
We retain records for the periods prescribed under SEBI regulations, exchange bye-laws, the PMLA and other applicable law, and thereafter delete or anonymise them unless a legal proceeding requires longer retention.
How we protect it
We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards — encrypted transmission, restricted access, segregation of client records and periodic reviews — to protect your information. Access is limited to authorised personnel who need it to perform their duties.
Your rights and choices
- You may request access to, or correction of, your personal information; certain KYC changes are made through the prescribed modification process.
- You may opt out of marketing communications at any time — regulatory and account-related communications will continue, as they are mandatory.
- Where processing is based on your consent, you may withdraw that consent, subject to our legal record-keeping obligations.
- Keep your mobile number and email updated with us so that you receive transaction alerts directly from us, the exchanges and the depository.
Mobile applications
Our investing apps (Invest By PCJ and PCJ Wealth) may request device permissions — such as camera for in-person verification, or SMS/OTP auto-read — solely to complete KYC and secure login. The apps do not access your data for advertising.
Third-party links
Our website links to external platforms such as exchange, depository and regulatory websites, and to our account-opening and IPO application portals. Those sites are governed by their own privacy policies.
Children
Our services are intended for persons who can lawfully contract. Accounts for minors are opened only through a guardian as permitted by regulation.

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect legal or operational changes. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page shows the current version. Material changes will be highlighted on this page.
